Viña del Mar, on the other hand, initially was a land of wineries and only towards the end of the 19th century became the home for the most prosperous families of Valparaiso which were looking for more space for their mansions and beautiful gardens, today is Chile's most important beachside city which has given relevance to the wellbeing of its inhabitants and visitors.
